PB or LG?
Which One Is Right For Me?

The best way to determine which version is right for you is to know what kind of grader you are.

Do you prefer to grade individual criteria by familiar letter grades (A+, A, A-)? Do you prefer your categories to be an average of a set of certain criteria? If so, then LG is more your style.

Or, do you prefer to have criteria be worth a specific amount of points and have larger categories simply be the sum of a set of specific criteria? If so, then PB is for you.

The first number in the SpeechGrader version numbers refers to the maximum number of speeches the program can handle (6- means up to 6, 4- means up to 4). The second number refers to the maximum number of students the program can handle (either 42 or 35). If you have a smaller class, choose 35. If you have a class from 36 to 42, choose 42. Note: since we recommend hiding students in the gradebook who drop your course, you may wish to have a few extra slots to account for additional students.

We recommend if you're not sure which version to choose, to download each of the free DEMOs and experiment! See which one fits your style the best.
